Case Study Feature

Project Overview

The Vodacom Century City project aimed to deliver a unique lighting design that enhances and accentuates the architect’s iconic concept. The lighting scheme spans several key interior spaces, including the lift lobbies, atrium, pause areas, entrance zones, and feature walls, ensuring a cohesive and visually striking atmosphere throughout the building.

Project Challenges & Solutions

The client and architect required 5700K color temperature lighting with 90+ CRI to ensure optimal color rendering and brightness. Thanks to LLSA’s local manufacturing capabilities, we were able to meet these exact specifications within a short lead time, ensuring both quality and project efficiency.

Lighting Design & Fixtures

A combination of recessed, pendant, and track-mounted fittings was used to achieve a clean, modern look aligned with Vodacom’s brand identity.
Key products supplied include:

  • Mole Custom 2m Pendants – providing elegant feature illumination.

  • Virunga 50 R – recessed fittings for refined general lighting.

  • Custom Massai fittings – designed specifically for the atrium’s dramatic vertical space.

  • Nairobi fittings – used to highlight the feature walls with precision and depth.

Once installation is complete, high-resolution photography will be captured to showcase the project’s architectural and lighting synergy.
